South East Wales Landlords encouraged to have their voices heard on property matters

Posted 20 November 2018
With the number of landlords considering selling their rental property - despite increasing rents and growing demand from potential tenants - Parkmans advise there is no better time to invest!
In view of this we are holding a Landlord Investment Forum next week in Caerphilly, to discuss the future of property management in Wales. Everyone involved in the property market is encouraged to attend this free event to gain valuable advice from Parkmans’ property specialists on how to make the most of property investments.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 28 November, from 7.00pm at Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel & Spa - Maesycwmmer, Nr Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly, CF82 7SN, with free refreshments available afterwards.
Charlotte Burles Corbett, Managing Director of Parkmans and a landlord herself, said, “The private rental sector is a fast-growing sector in Wales, with more and more people and families, across the demographics, choosing to stay in rented accommodation, or are dependent on it. The Welsh Government’s Renting Homes draft Bill proposes to change the way fees are charged by landlords to tenants in the private rented sector. I know this draft new legislation is daunting for landlords and anyone considering property management. We’ve organised this free event to help those involved with property management understand the changes that are potentially ahead. We would also like to invite those considering becoming a landlord to this event to get some free advice.”

Mrs Burles Corbett recently gave evidence on behalf of RICS Wales (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) to Welsh Assembly Members on the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee who were examining the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Bill.
